Hope Starts Here.

Held each year in July, The Prouty is northern New England's largest family-friendly fundraising event, combining cycling, walking, rowing, golf and more to raise funds and awareness for life-saving research and critical patient and family support services at Dartmouth Cancer Center. The Prouty is produced by the Friends of Dartmouth Cancer Center, and has raised more than $79 million since its inception 45 years ago.

Cancer Testimonial

The first ride I did, I was in tears going across the finish line, just because of the realization that I genuinely am not alone. The sense of community and sense of camaraderie that comes from The Prouty is unbeatable.

Expanding Cancer Care Close To Home

Powered by philanthropy, the ongoing expansion of the Patient Pavilion at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center will include a entire floor dedicated to supporting the treatment of some of the most complex cancer cases. And, because this floor will also include space to advance clinical trials and innovative cellular therapies—which are designed to attack cancer at a microscopic level—we will be better able to serve cancer patients who need us most.

Leveraging the Body’s Brilliance to Fight Cancer

Cancer immunotherapy trains the immune system to recognize and attack malignant cells. By supporting the field’s brightest minds, many of whom are at Dartmouth, you will help advance their growing understanding of the delicate relationship between tumors and immune cells into safe and potent therapies. A potentially more sustainable approach than conventional treatments, immunotherapy holds the key to curing, not just treating, cancer.
